From the runway to the Kleinfeld racks, the latest gowns from the fall 2013 bridal collections are ready to sparkle and shine. Brides planning to say, “I do” in 2013 and 2014 are in for a treat. Here are some of the trends that made a lasting impression from the front rows of bridal market. We look forward to seeing our brides in these stunning gowns!
Designers and brides aren’t forgetting the Duchess Catherine of Cambridge just yet. A year and a half later, elements of Katie’s iconic wedding garb linger on the runway. A romance is unveiled as sleeves of lace and stunning embroidery gracefully compliment the various silhouettes and necklines.
This season designers have pre-accessorized their gowns with jeweled belts perfect for any silhouette. Accentuating the natural waistline perfects Dennis Basso’s curvy mermaid silhouette while transforming Temperley’s sheaths into a natural hourglass form. The traditional a-line gowns from Romona Keveza, Lazaro, and Mark Zunino come too life with a glittering waistline. Adding an extra hint of sparkle to a simple, form flattering gown is the perfect combination this bridal season.

Short and sweet? Or long and lovely? The high, low skirt proves that now a bride can in fact have both. Gowns from Anne Barge, Lazaro, Temperley, and Reem Acra bare toned legs with a chapel train to follow. Other variations of this trend from Pnina Tornai and Romona Keveza take a more conservative approach pairing a short satin skirt with a sheer overlay. Either way, a fabulous shoe is a must.
Blush undertones have broken the barrier of colorless bridal gowns, a tradition difficult to shy away from. Pnina’s rose petal underlays and Lazaro and Mark Zunino’s sparkling blush hues can be expected to become irresistible to the modern bride. This subtle yet unordinary coloring is sure to tastefully satisfy the bride who is trying to break the bridal norm.

Temperley, Dennis Basso, and Reem Acra are a few of the many designers translating the fun and flirty elements of ready-to-wear to the bridal stage. The peplum, a style detail born in the1940s, was a statement piece for several designers this bridal season. This fit and flare trend transforms any body shape into the perfect hourglass figure. Flaring from a natural waistline, ruffles and lace overlays exude a sweetness and femininity for the modern bride.

Henry and Michelle Roth have put together their top 5 aisle style trends for the upcoming year and their brand new collection is anything but ordinary. With dramatic necklines, bold lace and unique detailing, the 2014 bride is sure to make a statement.

"Isaac’s style really lends itself to a bride with a great sense of whimsy and flirtation.  This lace appliqué on tulle over a black lining almost has a retro, 50’s look.  It’s for a bride who may be a bit more daring and playful. This tea-length would be great outdoors or inside for a fabulous luncheon wedding!"

"Another classic Isaac!  His fun use of color with the signature black sash on this full ball gown really still has a fresh, casual feel while still being formal.  This gown would be great in a grand venue or even a more simple and elegant setting. The natural waist makes it a great shape for many body shapes."

"This is the perfect destination dress!  The flowy chiffon is perfect for any warm, outdoor setting and is especially stunning on the beach.  The dress is tremendously light and airy and photographs nicely."

"This is for the bride who loves the tradition of a true ball gown in a regal, rich satin!  This gown has two tiers of billowing pick ups and a more modern bustier style bodice.  Though traditional in silhouette, the style of the bodice gives it a fresh, modern feel!  This dropped waist silhouette is especially flattering on a bride who wants to show her curves!"

"This is for the true princess bride!  This gown has a fully sequin, iridescent, natural waist bodice with a full tulle ball gown skirt!  If you want to feel like a princess on your special day, this is your dress!"
